Mahanandi is a picturesque village and pilgrimage site located in the Nallamala Hills near Nandyal in the Kurnool district. Mhananandiswara Swamy  temple : The temple is renowned for its unique architecture, with an east-facing sanctum and intricate carvings. The deity, Lord Shiva, is worshipped in the form of a Shiva Linga. The temple complex has a series of sacred tanks (Pushkarinis) fed by perennial crystal-clear springs. Devotees believe that taking a dip in these holy waters purifies the body and soul. The water is fresh, clear, and remains at a consistent level throughout the year.

Nandi Statues: The temple features several statues of Nandi, the sacred bull and vehicle of Lord Shiva. The main Nandi is positioned facing the sanctum, and its beautiful carvings make it a significant highlight.
